The world is not ending, but the world as we used to know it is – We’ve been uprooted into a new normal! One of Jesus’ twelve disciples, Peter, wrote a letter to a church whose world had been turned upside-down like ours has. Twenty five years after the death and resurrection of Jesus, Emperor Nero started horribly persecuting the early church, scattering them over Asia Minor. Peter’s message is: Hope. Not cheap hope, not wishful thinking, not being ignorant; but deep-rooted, Jesus-focused, hope. Now is the time for us to be re-established and re-rooted in Christ-Identity, Christ-Community, and Christ-Activity.
