Our Dream and Mission...
Our Name
The name Doxa Deo is a combination of two words from Greek and Latin. Doxa is the word for “Glory” and Deo is the word for “God”. In combination, these words reflect our ministry’s deep desire to see God’s glory breaking like a wave over our cities, transforming them with God’s glorious presence.
Our Dream
Our calling as a Church comes from Habakkuk 2:14: “The glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.” That is why you will often see a wave as part of our imagery. We function as one Church in a city with various campuses and ministries and our desire is to see God’s transforming presence impact every city where we have influence around the world.
Our Strategy
Our strategy is to raise up Missional Individuals, Missional Communities and Missional Eco-systems that will resonate with the heart of Jesus’ prayer in Matthew 6:10: “Let Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven!”
Our Mission
Our mission is defined by the mission of Jesus Christ to bring Faith to those who are spiritually lost, to bring Love to those who are in social pain and to bring Hope that will restore that which is systemically broken in society. We want to love and serve our city with the love and values of Jesus.
